The mission of the Foundation is to support development of engineers and technical personnel through selective motivational awards, prizes and scholarships, grants for educational activities of unique and high value and professional educational programs. AFCEA Educational Foundation	AMVETS annually awards scholarships to veterans, their sons, daughters or grandchildren. A son, daughter or grandchild of a deceased veteran is also eligible. Awarded on the basis of academic excellence and financial need, the scholarships go to deserving high school seniors, high school JROTC students and veterans pursuing a higher education. The Army College Fund (ACF) is an enlistment incentive option designed to aid in the recruitment of highly qualified Soldiers for critical or shortage Military Occupational Specialties (MOS). The ACF supplements the basic Montgomery GI Bill (MGIB) entitlement. Army College Fund (ACF)	The LRP is a special enlistment incentive that the Army offers to highly qualified applicants at the time of enlistment. Why this school is the right choice for a military member and/or their family
In recognition of the service that the military provides to this nation, Averett University offers a special scholarship for all military members (active or reserve), DoD and service civilian employees, state National Guard employees, and their family members. This scholarship is available for all degree programs state-wide and provides a 25% tuition reduction. Retired military personnel from all services and components (active, reserve, and National Guard) and "honorably" discharged veterans of the active armed forces are also eligible for this scholarship.
